Who we are

Hi, I'm Ricky

Let me tell you how Tailored Heroes came to be.

I've been a tabletop gamer for as long as I can remember. D&D campaigns that lasted years, Warhammer armies lovingly assembled and painted, weekend game sessions with friends - this hobby has been central to my life. And like every gamer, I've experienced the frustration of falling in love with a character, only to realize that perfect miniature simply doesn't exist.

My professional background gave me the tools to do something about it.

As a formally trained artist, I learned the fundamentals of visual storytelling, color, composition, and technique. Those skills translate directly to miniature painting - understanding how light and shadow work, how to create depth on a tiny surface, how to make colors pop.

My professional 3D modeling experience taught me how to think in three dimensions, how to build digital sculptures that are both beautiful and technically sound. I know how to optimize models for printing, how to ensure details come through clearly, how to create poses that are dynamic yet structurally stable.

Running a printer farm for professional projects gave me mastery over the technical side - material properties, printer calibration, support strategies, post-processing techniques. I've printed thousands of pieces and solved every problem you can imagine (and some you can't).

Tailored Heroes combines all of this: the gamer's passion, the artist's eye, the modeler's precision, and the technician's expertise. When you work with me, you're not getting one skill set - you're getting the complete package.

Every miniature I create benefits from this convergence of experience. And honestly? I love every part of the process. From that first conversation about your character to seeing the finished piece ready for the table, this work never gets old.

Your character has a story. Let's make sure their miniature does too.
